Our Company

Our company has been servicing heat exchange units since 1910. Run by third-generation owner/operator, we combine old-world standards of quality and workmanship with state-of-the-art cleaning equipment and cleaning agents for a final product that exceeds customer expectations. Units can be finished in OEM colors, high temperature primer or stripped to bare metal, and are delivered leak-free in ready to install condition (i.e., gasketed and pressure tested on both sides of the unit). Our customers have confidence in our abilities and trust their engines will run cool and leak free while out at sea. We can complete most jobs in two full working days and offer free tri-county pickup and delivery services.

Our Equipment

Ultrasonic cleaning is widely accepted as the most effective and nonabrasive way to clean scale, corrosion, rust and grease from odd shaped units such as marine heat exchangers, after coolers and oil coolers. Most engine manufacturers recommend ultrasonic as the only way to clean. Sound waves which penetrate deep inside cooler housings and tubes combined with specific cleaning agents for the type of contamination (i.e., rust/scale, oil/grease, carbon/soot) gently restores most units to their original condition.

People do make the difference!!

We at 3 Star Atlantic Radiator firmly believe in the old saying "it's the people who make the difference".

Based on this belief we have invested our time and resources in hiring and retaining qualified experienced personnel that can deliver a high level of cooling system expertise. Our people are available to advise customers on cooling system diagnosis, repair/replacement options, design issues as well as the basic time frame and pricing questions. We always invite all of our customers to tour our facility, but if you can't make it, this brochure brings the shop people to you.

Michael Cross

Michael has been with us for 15 years in his capacity as third generation owner/operator. By growing up around the industry, Michael has seen almost all the possible radiator/cooling system failures and has the experience to solve each and every one. Also, Michael has been servicing the marine cooling system industry for many years and is proud in the completion of our new ultrasonic based marine cooling system service shop. Michael's strong commitment to customer satisfaction can be seen in the finished quality of every job that leaves our shop.

Bob Herot

Bob has been with us for 1 1/2 years and comes to us with 35 years of industry experience. He has both owned his own radiator shop and managed a radiator manufacturing plant for a multinational, stock exchange traded radiator manufacturer. Bob specializes in heavy equipment and industrial use radiators such as over the road trucks, standby generators, construction and digging equipment. Bob is very comfortable choosing the best style of core design or repair technique to meet the needs of a particular application (i.e., low flow designs, high fin count designs, heavy tube/heavy header designs). Bob's pleasant demeanor and strong knowledge base should make our customers feel confident in our ability to get the job done right.

Jeff Shear

Jeff has been with us for 16 years helping as both outside sales manager and inside phone service agent. With Jeff's 25 years experience in automotive and industrial cooling systems he can solve most any cooling problem and offer the lowest cost and quickest solution. Jeff knows what it feels like to be on the "other side of the phone" when talking to customers about their radiator and cooling system problems. This allows him to satisfy any concerns you may have regarding your particular cooling system job. Jeff also has a great sense of humor, to keep things light, even when discussing the sometimes stress-full situations a failed cooling system causes.

Bennie Carr

Bennie has been with us for 14 years. He started with us as a delivery driver, than became warehouse manager, and now he is our dispatcher. As dispatcher, Bennie coordinates the movement of all delivery drivers ensuring prompt pick-up service. He also organizes finished jobs by geographical area so that they are delivered quickly after they are completed. Bennie's experience as a driver helps him understand what it takes to get the job done out on the road. Also, Bennie manages the movement of new radiator stock and raw materials coming in and out of our facility. Using his experience as a warehouse manager, Bennie has also become our passenger car radiator expert. When it comes to logistics or finding the right passenger car radiator for your application Bennie is the one who you can count on.
