Buyer Beware: Know Your Battery Ratings Before You Buy CA (Cranking Amps) and HCA (Hot Cranking Amps) are some examples of ratings that can be misleading. Batteries displaying these ratings have probably been tested at higher temperatures so the resulting numbers look higher.
