Q & A with Capt. Alan WHERE WILL WE FISH? Capt. Alan takes his clients fishing in the pristine waters of North Biscayne Bay, South Biscayne Bay, Everglades National Park (Flamingo) and the Everglades. Most of these waters are calm and wind protected. WHAT WILL WE CATCH? The species of fish that Capt. Alan targets include Snook, Tarpon, Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish, Bonefish, Permit, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Barracuda, Shark, Cobia, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Snapper, Grouper and Largemouth and Peacock Bass. HOW MUCH DOES A CHARTER COST? Please call Capt. Alan at 305-757-5503 or 786-436-2064; or send an e-mail for up to date quotes! CAN I SPLIT A CHARTER? Yes NUMBER OF ANGLERS? 2 adults & 2 children or 3 adults. Less is better for many reasons: more room, less obstacles and the boat will float shallower which makes it easier to pole in shallow water. WHAT KIND OF FISHING CAN YOU EXPECT Sight casting, drift and anchor fishing. WHAT DOES THE TRIP INCLUDE? Capt., boat and equipment, ice AND cooler storage, bait, tackle rods and reels and fishing licenses. (Freshwater license is extra). WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING? Sunscreen, hats, polarized sunglasses, camera, wind breaker, white soled shoes, drinks, lunch and snacks. DO I NEED MY OWN TACKLE No. Capt. Alan is equipped with Daiwa and Shimano spin and bait casting tackle. His rods are Daiwa and custom built rods by Key Largo Rods. All terminal tackle is supplied and a good selection of artificial lures are always on board. If you prefer to bring your own tackle that's fine, but let Capt. Alan know so there isn't more tackle on board than necessary. HOW MANY FISH CAN I BRING HOME? Almost everyday there is a change in the fishing limits and regulations and almost every desirable species has a size, quantity and closed season. He will let you know what those up-to-date limits are. He practices catch and release, but wants you to enjoy your trip, so if bringing home some fish for dinner is what you want he has no problem as long as you stay within the limits. WHERE WILL WE MEET YOU? When you book your charter he will let you know which boat ramp to meet at. His boat is trailerable and each destination has its own ramp. WHAT TIME DO WE START FISHING? Half day trips are four hrs. and full day trips eight hrs. Starting times will be determined at time of booking and can be flexible. HOW DO I BOOK A TRIP? Either call or send an e-mail to Capt. Alan and let him know when you want to go, how many people, how long of a trip and where you want to fish. A $100 deposit will be necessary to hold your date. If for some reason you cannot make the trip, he will need advanced notice so he can rebook the date. If he is unable to book your date the deposit will not be reimbursed. With advanced notice the deposit will be either refunded or applied to a future date. It may be necessary to cancel and reschedule a trip due to inclement weather. GRATUITIES If you are satisfied with how you were treated on your charter and if you felt Capt. Alan tried his hardest to put you and your party on fish, then I would recommend $25 to $100. This is strictly up to the client.

The kids really enjoyed it and they certainly learned a great deal from your explanations. Your patience and demeanor with them is admirable and that's something that we value and respect.
