Schooner Bluenose You will be hard pressed to find something that represents boats that are North American in design, and are executed as nicely overall. You can spend a lot more money for museum quality detailing, but you can get the same satisfaction from our new line of low cost models. Our new boats include the Schooner America, the Herreshoff 12.5, the Schooner Adventuress, a Friendship sloop, Schooner Bluenose (in two sizes), the J Class "Rainbow", a Marshall Sanderling Cat Boat, the Sparkman & Stephens "Dorade", and the National Historic lumber schooner, "Wawona".
These are just some examples of the sailing vessels designed by North American Naval Architects and shipbuilders that we offer for sale. They are representative of the finest marine replicas available in their price range. Please don't confuse our models with others you see on the internet. All MODELS are NOT CREATED EQUAL. There is no comparison to our replicas at near this price. Before you buy, make sure to look at all photographs carefully. Our's will show a model of unparalleled quality and faithfulness to the original builder's plans. Design give-always are the rake of the masts, the proportions of the hull, and the cut of the bow.
Created by hand from scratch, all of our model makers use the most desirable plank on frame or bulkhead wood construction, making these models some of the finest of these ship models ever produced. Don't be surprised to see elsewhere, models of the same design that sell for upwards of $3500.00, and even more. With all the detail work, our collector's models will become a treasured family heirloom in your living room, dining room, den, or a key feature of any corporate office's Board Room. They come mounted on our high quality stand. And like all of our products, they are backed with our conditional guarantee of satisfaction upon delivery.
GIANT Size Jenny JN-4 on Floats or Wheels For collectors and model airplane buff's, or as an incredibly impressive gift, there is a collection of model airplanes that include a GIANT size Jenny JN-4 on floats or wheels, a GIANT Fokker Tri-plane, a large and small size Sopwith Camel, the famous Fokker D VII and Fokker Eindecker, and the equally renowned "Spirit of St Louis". These replicas make all other models pale by comparison. Our models achieve an accuracy and attention to detail found in those custom built by professional model makers for museum collections.
All are designed and built in the same fashion as the original, with silk fabric stretched over frame, stringers and ribs. They replicate all the details with working control surfaces, i.e. ailerons, rudder and elevator. Even the spoked wheels have rubber tires. And the leather rimmed cockpit and seat with miniature instruments are authentic to the period, as are the detailed engine, laminated propeller, and historically correct colors. The amount of time that is taken to recreate these "works of art" is measured in tens of hours, and yet the price is modest when compare to the mass produced die cast metal models which don't come close to capturing the feeling and atmosphere of the period. Some models come complete with a table top display stand.
The Finest Ships Clocks. Pictured is a circa 1912 - 1929 Sewill from our own collection Our collection of ships clocks is arguably the finest anywhere. We are proud of our detailed description based on extensive research, and low pricing. We hope you will agree. Nautical clocks are a much sought after addition to any nautical collection and are wonderful accent pieces for your home decor. We also have mahogany stands available for desktop or display on a mantle.
As with all our nautical items, our ship's clocks come from all over, but mostly from Asia, where the majority of wrecking yards are located. Our broker travels the shipwrecking yards and buys the best examples offered. He then sub contracts the polishing where appropriate, and later supervises the packing and forwarding. Importing these items is a costly process, between all of the freight issues, exchange rates, customs clearing, and Fed fees, etc. Most of our items are authentic, and not repros or copies. If we get something that's not authentic, we say so. Polished Brass Nautica - Inquire
18th Century Ship's and Army Cannon in Heavy Cast Iron Presented are two recreated versions of an 18th Century ship's cannon in heavy cast iron. One of these two is seen in the image above. The only difference is the gun's carriage. One has a stair step design and four wheels, and the other a longer carriage and two wheels. The longer carriage version was used on land, and pulled by horses. The short carriage version was used on board ships of war. The buyer has his choice of which version he prefers. We have both these in stock so that a matched pair is possible. The design and construction of these cannons and carriages are authentic to those used by all the seafaring nations of the world as seen in the recent movie "Master and Commander" during the 18th Century. And by the armies of England, France and Spain. |
