New and Used Sails in Stock - Search Our Online Inventory Most sails in our inventory are used but we also stock new sails built for some of the most popular boats. There are any number of reasons for sails to wind up in our inventory. I have purchased new sails from a manufacturer that is changing sail makers for the next model year and from a property owner, who found them in a garage when a tenant moved out. Used sails might have been traded in on new, new might have been built for a customer who never picked them up, or a boat owner might have traded them in when converting from hank on sails to a furling system or visa versa.
New Custom Sails Porpoise Sailing Services can also supply you with new, custom made sails. In most cases we will have these built by Knighton Sails here in Sarasota. In addition to 20+ years of experience building common cruising and racing sails Gregg Knighton has built gaff, sprit, batwing, and junk sails. Gregg has also built sails for many home built boats including designs by Bolger, Brown and Wharram. We also have some sails built overseas using our designs and specifications. These sails use only U.S. made sailcloth and hardware allowing us to import them free of import duties. These sails can be a very affordable option for many boats.

Sell Your Sails To Porpoise Sailing I am always in the market for good sails. The selling process is simple. Ship your surplus sails to me. I will evaluate them, call you with a purchase offer and either mail you a check, or if we can't agree on price, I will ship them back to you at my expense. Please include your name, address, phone number and note "for purchase evaluation".
Guarantee If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a sail you purchase from me, please return it. I will refund 100% of the purchase price, pay the shipping costs both ways, and throw in five dollars for your trouble. This guarantee allows you a reasonable time period to inspect and hoist the sail. New custom sails also carry a three year materials and workmanship guarantee. |
