Shirttail Charlie's Restaurant

Favorite seafood restaurant in Fort Lauderdale! Native Fish & Honest Bar

Inspired by a colorful Seminole Indian character in early Fort Lauderdale's history, Shirttail Charlie's Restaurant provides relaxed waterfront dining in a beautiful downtown Marina setting. It is a family fun place offering open-air dining, Dockside Turtle Bar, swimming pool and enclosed air conditioned Dining Room with a magnificent view of the New River and the Downtown Fort Lauderdale skyline.

Dockside dining at its best.

From simple snacks to sophisticated seafood dinners, Shirttail Charlie's is the ideal place to relax, to watch the daily parade of boats, to listen to live entertainment nightly and to experience what local seafood lovers know to be the freshest of the Ocean's bounty. The Dockside features char grilled fresh Florida fish and a variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and salads. It is also the location of the best Friday night Happy Hour in Fort Lauderdale, with live entertainment and complimentary hot and cold hors d'oeurvres. Fishing boats, million-dollar yachts, tugs and frequent freight trains provide an interesting and ever-changing feast for the eyes.

See Fort Lauderdale from our upstairs dining room.

The Upstairs Dining Room is the scene of Simply Superb Seafood. A changing daily selection of "fresh only" Florida fish (Swordfish, Dolphin, red Snapper, Yellowtail, Tuna, Grouper, Tile, Cobia, Wahoo and others), a variety of shrimp dishes, as well as conch, alligator tail, steaks and chicken are served in an inviting atmosphere emphasizing Fort Lauderdale's past and our great view of the New River and Downtown.
